Michele L. A. Rollins is a Partner at Cobb & Gonzalez, P.A., where she leads the firm’s Real Estate Closings and Title Services practice group. With over 20 years of experience in real estate lawcorporate and business transactions, and public and government affairs, Michele provides comprehensive legal guidance to residential and commercial clients throughout Florida. She oversees all aspects of real estate closings and title services, and is known for her strategic approach to resolving complex transactional and regulatory issues.

Michele’s clients include builders, developers, lenders, investors, and homeowners, whom she assists with contract drafting, due diligence, lease negotiation, dispute resolution, and land use matters. Her unique blend of private and public sector experience enables her to navigate both business operations and legal frameworks with ease and precision.

As the newest Partner to join Cobb & Gonzalez P. A. in March 2025, Michele is tasked with setting up and growing the new Real Estate Closings & Title Practice Group for the firm. The Firm will do closings for both residential and commercial clients, with a key focus on superior quality customer “concierge” service. 

Prior to joining Cobb & Gonzalez Michele ran her own law firm as the Managing Attorney at L. A. Law PA, a boutique law firm in Jacksonville, Florida, where she oversaw the entire spectrum of the firm’s operations. This included a comprehensive range of responsibilities, such as managing Real Estate matters, handling contracts, spearheading new business development, supervising client intake, and negotiating all client-related affairs. Additionally, she played a pivotal role in conducting real estate closings for realtor and lender clients. Michele’s multifaceted legal expertise extended to her representation as Outside Legal Counsel for the Jacksonville Transportation Authority, one of the five government entities in Jacksonville. In this capacity, she provided legal counsel and guidance to the CEO, General Counsel, and senior leadership team. Her legal acumen covered Employment law, Real Estate matters, Human Resources and Procurement and regulatory compliance. Additionally, she represented the Authority as local counsel in EEOC administrative hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences. Michele also collaborated with senior executives and HR teams on issues related to employee discipline, non-compete agreements, and employee complaints. Her comprehensive role included conducting in-house employee investigations and overseeing outside litigation counsel, along with negotiating settlement agreements and offering alternative dispute resolution options in conjunction with opposing counsel. 

Notably, Michele’s career journey took her to EverBank, where she was recruited to manage the Corporate Client Communications team within the Mortgage Servicing unit. In this pivotal role, she oversaw a team of over 100 employees, including 10 managers, to achieve demanding production goals. She was responsible for recruitment, training, performance management, and strategic planning for the division. Her collaboration with the SVP and Mortgage Servicing President was integral in developing and implementing corporate strategic goals for the Mortgage Servicing division.

In the early part of her career Michele gained invaluable experience working with a public relations firm specializing in media relations, strategic planning, crisis communications, and event planning. Her focus was on government and public affairs, including community outreach and public involvement. During this period, she worked closely with clients like the City of Jacksonville on projects such as the Neighborhood Stabilization Program and Project New Ground, the Jacksonville Aviation Authority, Wal-Mart, Shand’s HealthCare.

Michele’s professional journey after law school began with KB Home Jacksonville, a Fortune 500 national homebuilder. Over her five years there, she held various leadership positions, including Regional Director of Government and Community Affairs, Land Acquisitions Manager, Operations Manager, and Closing Manager. In the latter roles, she managed over $200 million in real estate sales and closings, coordinated marketing and public relations efforts, and collaborated with banking institutions to secure financing for buyers.

Michele’s impressive array of qualifications also includes being a Florida Supreme Court Circuit Certified Mediator, Florida Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator, Florida licensed Real Estate Broker, and Florida licensed Real Estate Instructor.

Michele earned a Juris Doctorate degree with a concentration in Sports Management from the University of Georgia, School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science & Criminal Justice from Georgia State University. Her legal journey in law school began with internships with the NFL Jacksonville Jaguars, where she gained valuable experience in contract negotiations related to NFL player contracts, as well as an internship at the University of Georgia Athletics Department with the Compliance team.

Beyond her professional life, Michele and her husband reside in Ponte Vedra, Florida, and share a passion for golf. Her dedication to the greater Jacksonville community is evident in her past role as Commissioner on the Jacksonville Human Rights Commission, where she exemplified her commitment to giving back through community service. Additionally, Michele spent approximately 10 years advocating for abused and neglected children as both a Guardian ad Litem and Attorney ad Litem Volunteer, where she contributed thousands of volunteer hours working with the Guardian ad Litem program, a non-profit foundation and the juvenile justice legal system.  Most recently Michele has become a Certified First Tee and US Kids Golf coach and is also working on her LPGA and PGA certifications. She enjoys coaching Junior golf, especially the LPGA/USGA Girls Golf.
